About the role
You will own the commercial performance of the UK and Ireland public sector business, setting and achieving Net New Acquisition targets while ensuring Net Retention goals are met for the existing portfolio. You will manage a high-performing team of Solution Engineers and Technology Account Partners, cultivating a culture focused on the public sector journey and delivering consistent value. Your leadership will involve direct engagement with senior public sector leaders, including Programme Directors, CDOs, and CTOs, across central government, law enforcement, and regulatory environments. You will be the accountable owner for the entire engagement lifecycle, orchestrating seamless transitions from pre-sales activities such as demonstrations and proofs of concept to post-sales delivery and expansion. This role requires ensuring the technical quality and value demonstration of all client-facing outputs while establishing Quantexa as the definitive internal expert on UK government technology procurement and data governance. You will develop and maintain reusable methodologies that contribute directly to the Global Pursuits playbook, enhancing our collective capability and best practices. Your responsibility includes championing client outcomes by ensuring solution architecture aligns with commercial objectives and secure, robust deployment models that meet public sector standards. Success in this role means driving alignment between technical execution and commercial goals, ensuring that every engagement reinforces Quantexa's position as a trusted partner in the public sector.

What you'll do
Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive field strategy for the UK and Ireland public sector vertical, translating business objectives into actionable plans.
Own the end-to-end commercial and technical success of public sector deployments, from initial engagement through to realization, expansion, and long-term account growth.
Set and achieve Net New Acquisition targets while maintaining and growing Net Retention across the entire UK and Ireland public sector portfolio.
Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Solution Engineers and Technology Account Partners to ensure consistent delivery of client outcomes.
Engage directly with senior public sector stakeholders, including Programme Directors, CDOs, and CTOs, across central government, law enforcement, and regulatory bodies.
Act as the accountable owner for the entire engagement lifecycle, coordinating seamless transitions between pre-sales and post-sales activities.
Ensure the technical quality and value demonstration of all client-facing outputs, including proofs of concept, demonstrations, and implementation frameworks.
Establish Quantexa as the definitive internal expert on UK government technology procurement, data governance, and compliance requirements.
Develop and maintain reusable methodologies, playbooks, and frameworks that enhance the Global Pursuits strategy and sales capabilities.
Champion client outcomes by aligning solution architecture with commercial objectives and secure, robust deployment models.
Drive adoption of Quantexa's platforms by working closely with delivery and success teams to ensure solutions meet public sector standards and expectations.
Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise in public sector technology, influencing internal strategy and external positioning.
Identify and mitigate commercial, technical, and operational risks across the customer lifecycle to protect Quantexa's reputation and growth.
Collaborate with global teams to adapt field strategies for the UK and Ireland, ensuring alignment with broader market entry and expansion objectives.
Use data and insights to optimize field performance, refine go-to-market approaches, and demonstrate impact to executive stakeholders.
Requirements
You must have proven experience in leading technical teams within a pre-sales or post-sales environment, with a demonstrable history of coaching talent and driving commercial results.
You must possess substantive experience in the UK public sector technology landscape, with an expert-level understanding of frameworks such as G-Cloud and Crown Commercial Service.
You must have mastery of both enterprise sales dynamics and post-sales expansion, particularly the critical transition point between sales and customer success.
You must have the technical confidence to engage in sophisticated discussions with government technology leaders on subjects like data integration, platform architecture, and secure implementation.
You must thrive in a player-manager role, balancing strategic executive discussions with active participation in complex, hands-on assessments.
You must demonstrate a strong commitment to ethical standards and compliance within highly regulated public sector environments.
You must have the ability to operate autonomously while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams across the business.
You must show resilience and adaptability in managing multiple priorities in fast-paced, high-stakes public sector engagements.
Practical notes
The role is based in London and requires full-time engagement. You will have the option to work from home with provided equipment, access commuter, tech, and cycle-to-work schemes, and enjoy 25 days of annual leave with options to purchase additional days and rollover.
