You will operate within a compact, high-impact corporate marketing structure, reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Marketing. Collaboration will be frequent with Digital Marketing, Product Marketing, Public Relations, and Sales teams. The ideal candidate approaches reading industry trade publications as a routine practice, identifies angles ahead of discussions, and excels at converting market trends into distinct company perspectives. This role demands curiosity, speed, and precision in interpreting market signals.
What You'll Do
You will drive PubMatic's thought leadership initiatives by identifying viable story angles and developing pitch-ready narratives. Collaboration with public relations partners will be essential to secure placement in leading trade outlets, including AdExchanger, Digiday, Adweek, and Ad Age. The focus remains on elevating PubMatic's visibility within relevant industry forums through disciplined narrative development.
Monitoring industry news on a daily basis will form a core activity. You will rapidly assess breaking market events and uncover newsjacking opportunities. Turning these moments into timely commentary for PubMatic will require sound judgment and strong writing capabilities. Real-time response to market shifts will be a standard expectation.
Supporting partner announcements and award submissions will also fall within this role's scope. You will contribute content designed to strengthen PubMatic's credibility among industry stakeholders. This includes drafting materials that highlight partnerships, recognition, and expert commentary. Each piece must align with broader credibility-building objectives.
You will support the development of research-driven materials, including whitepapers and industry reports. These assets must clearly explain evolving industry conditions and reinforce PubMatic's analytical authority. The work will require close coordination with research and product teams to ensure factual accuracy and strategic relevance.
You will own the coordination of content workflows from initial intake through final delivery. This includes managing reviews, consolidating feedback, and ensuring content meets quality standards before publication. Scheduling and distribution of earned assets will be aligned with overarching marketing priorities. Synthesizing input from Sales and Product teams will help refine future narratives.
Key Facts
This role is based in New York, United States. The engagement is full-time with a hybrid work arrangement involving time in the office and remote work. Collaboration with Digital Marketing, Public Relations, and Sales will occur regularly within this schedule. The compensation range is $130,000 to $160,000 USD. The specific offer will reflect demonstrated experience and expertise.
Requirements
You must bring a minimum of three years of experience in marketing, public relations, or communications roles. Demonstrated experience writing for trade publications is essential. You must have a proven track record of identifying and executing newsjacking opportunities in fast-moving environments. Comfort with data, research materials, and collaboration with sales teams is required. Strong judgment in prioritizing topics and meeting strict deadlines within a lean team setting is mandatory.
Nice to Have
Experience with analyst relations or workflows related to research publications will be considered an advantage. Familiarity with the rhythms of analyst outreach and report coordination can support effective thought leadership efforts.
