What you'll do

• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in all processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that align with the company's strategic objectives, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize resource allocation and enhance productivity across departments.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and drive data-informed decision-making.
• Lead and mentor a team of operational staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Manage budgets and forecasts, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet operational goals while maintaining cost efficiency.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth flow of operations.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of operational processes to identify risks and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
• Drive initiatives focused on enhancing customer satisfaction and service delivery, ensuring that client needs are met promptly and effectively.
• Facilitate training sessions for staff on new processes and technologies, ensuring that the team is equipped with the necessary skills to succeed.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, integrating relevant insights into operational strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in an operations management role, preferably within a manufacturing or logistics environment.
• Proven track record of successfully managing teams and driving operational improvements.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP systems and other operational software tools.
• Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics best practices.
• Certification in project management (PMP or similar) is a plus.
• Previous experience in a leadership role within a similar industry.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with operational management software and tools for tracking performance metrics.
• Strong understanding of financial management principles and budgeting processes.
