Pneco is seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as the Director of Transportation & Fleet Compliance. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of transportation and fleet compliance, ensuring that our operations adhere to industry regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in fleet management, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of our transportation operations. What you'll do
- Lead the development and implementation of compliance strategies for transportation and fleet operations, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee the management of fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, safety inspections, and compliance audits to optimize performance and minimize risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish best practices for fleet management, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and safety.
- Monitor changes in transportation regulations and industry standards, proactively adapting policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
- Conduct regular training sessions for staff on compliance protocols, safety regulations, and best practices in fleet management.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to fleet operations, including maintenance records, inspection reports, and compliance audits.
- Analyze fleet performance metrics and compliance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, ensuring timely communication and resolution of compliance-related issues.
- Prepare and present reports on fleet compliance status, safety performance, and operational efficiency to senior management.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.
- Participate in strategic planning initiatives to enhance fleet operations and support the company's overall business objectives.
- Foster a culture of safety and compliance within the organization, encouraging team members to prioritize these values in their daily operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in transportation compliance, fleet management, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations, including DOT, OSHA, and EPA standards.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful compliance programs in a fleet or transportation environment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse workforce.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and compliance tracking tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

- Certification in transportation compliance or fleet management (e.g., CTB, CTP).
- Experience with sustainability initiatives in fleet operations.
