About the role
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing PEBL's extensive network of payroll partners across 126 countries, ensuring that operations are both compliant and cost-effective. Your work will encompass the entire lifecycle of partner relationships, from initial identification and onboarding to ongoing management and governance. This position is crucial for supporting PEBL's global operations, particularly in facilitating international hiring and payroll processes.

What you'll do
- Lead the comprehensive process of discovering, assessing, and onboarding new partners in diverse markets to enhance PEBL's global reach.
- Manage the reactivation of dormant partnerships, which includes conducting thorough due diligence and updating contracts as necessary.
- Formulate strategic plans for sourcing new partners in alignment with the company's expansion objectives.
- Negotiate local contract terms, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), in collaboration with the legal department.
- Serve as the go-to expert on partner contractual obligations and the limits of service delivery, ensuring clarity and compliance.
- Maintain governance frameworks and establish engagement protocols for the global partner network to ensure consistency and quality.
- Act as the primary liaison between internal teams (Payroll, Experience, Product, Onboarding) and external partners, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
- Monitor compliance with service level agreements across the partner ecosystem, ensuring that all parties meet their commitments.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements in partner sourcing, due diligence, and governance, driving continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the Partner Knowledge Base by keeping documentation and partner profiles up to date, ensuring that all information is accurate and accessible.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in global partner management, vendor operations, or a comparable role within a multinational corporation or an Employer of Record (EOR) / Professional Employer Organization (PEO).
- Proven experience in conducting Requests for Proposals (RFPs), negotiating vendor contracts, and managing relationships among multiple parties across various legal jurisdictions.
- Ability to navigate established frameworks while exercising independent judgment on daily partner-related issues.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the company's interests in a clear and diplomatic manner.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated capability to manage complex pipelines and governance structures effectively.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and a comfort level with enterprise tools essential for operational success.
- Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, globally distributed team environment while effectively managing competing priorities.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Airtable, NetSuite, or other partner management platforms that can enhance operational efficiency.
- Previous experience in a role that required extensive cross-cultural communication and collaboration.
- Knowledge of international payroll practices and compliance regulations.
