About the role
You own the end-to-end commercial strategy for EMEA and APAC as the Expand Sales Director, driving sustainable, long-term growth across your region. You are accountable for owning and scaling revenue within existing customer accounts while ensuring retention remains a core focus of team activities. You will lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Account Managers who manage the post-sale customer lifecycle from start to finish. This role requires you to build and maintain strong, executive-level stakeholder relationships that shape strategic decisions within key accounts. You will work closely with the VP of Global Expansion to define and execute the go-to-market strategy for retention and expansion. By embedding yourself in your local market, you bring regional fluency and cultural intelligence that helps Pebl stand out in every engagement. You are expected to use data and insights to identify risks, uncover opportunities, and drive measurable outcomes for the business.
Key facts
What you'll do
Lead the EMEA Account Management team, owning performance across retention, expansion, and commercial outcomes.
Coach and develop Account Managers through regular 1:1s, account reviews, and targeted deal support to elevate performance.
Own renewal outcomes, account growth, and overall customer revenue performance against plan.
Drive structured account planning to deepen relationships, identify needs, and unlock new growth opportunities.
Build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships across key strategic accounts to strengthen trust and advocacy.
Create a high-performance, accountable, and commercially focused team culture that aligns with Pebl values.
Use data to identify churn risk, expansion signals, and trends across the customer base to inform action plans.
Improve Sold-to-Invoice conversion and reduce friction post-Closed Won to accelerate cash realization.
Ensure disciplined CRM usage and clear account ownership across the team to maintain visibility and alignment.
Partner with Marketing, Partnerships, and Operations to design and execute campaigns that support customer growth.
Contribute to GTM strategy across retention, pricing, and expansion plays to maximize lifetime value.
Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of Account Managers to scale the team effectively.
Identify opportunities to use automation and AI to improve efficiency, insight, and customer experience.
Collaborate with Product and Customer Success to provide feedback from the field that influences roadmap decisions.
Represent Pebl in key industry forums, customer events, and internal initiatives that reinforce thought leadership.
Requirements
You possess proven experience owning post-sale revenue, including renewals and account growth, in a SaaS or services environment.
You have experience leading and scaling Account Management or post-sale teams for at least four years.
You demonstrate a strong commercial mindset with a balanced focus on both retention and growth initiatives.
You have experience working in EOR, global payroll, HR tech, or similar SaaS environments that value compliance and global mobility.
You show strong stakeholder management skills, engaging effectively both internally with cross-functional partners and externally with enterprise clients.
You are data-driven, with the ability to identify risks and opportunities early through analysis of metrics and trends.
You are passionate about building, developing, and empowering high-performing teams through coaching and clear expectations.
You are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities can shift quickly based on market demands.
You have physical residence in one of Europe's major cities and hold the right to work in that country without sponsorship.
You have full professional fluency in English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with global stakeholders.
Nice to have
You have full professional fluency in the primary language of your hub city, such as Dutch, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, or Danish, in both written and spoken form, which is essential for enterprise client engagement.
Practical notes
This role may require up to 25% travel, including attendance at customer meetings, team offsites, and company events.
