In the position of Senior Electrical Engineer, you will engage directly with some of the largest technology firms and other critical clients in the Data Center sector. This role involves serving as an electrical engineer across various projects, performing design calculations, drafting technical reports, and preparing essential documentation. Your expertise and experience in the Data Center industry will be invaluable as you collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within Olsson and interact with clients to ensure project success. Key facts
What you'll do
- Lead electrical engineering efforts on diverse Data Center projects, ensuring all designs meet industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct detailed design calculations and analyses to support project requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable codes.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams at Olsson to integrate electrical systems effectively into broader project designs.
- Prepare and present technical reports and documentation for clients, ensuring clear communication of project progress and outcomes.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring that deliverables are met on schedule and within financial constraints.
- Troubleshoot and resolve engineering problems that arise during project execution, employing analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in electrical engineering and project management.
- Liaise with clients to understand their needs and expectations, fostering strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction with engineering services.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering and Data Center technologies, incorporating new ideas into your work.

Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is essential.
- At least 12 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on Data Center projects.
- Proficiency in Revit and other relevant design software is required for effective project execution.
- A valid Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory, demonstrating your commitment to high standards in engineering practice.
- Prior experience working in California is a plus, as it offers insights into specific regional regulations and standards.
- Strong communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with team members and clients alike.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven problem-solving skills, with a knack for investigating issues and implementing practical solutions.
