What you'll do

• Lead electrical engineering efforts on diverse Data Center projects, ensuring all designs meet industry standards and client specifications.
• Conduct detailed design calculations and analyses to support project requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable codes.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams at Olsson to integrate electrical systems effectively into broader project designs.
• Prepare and present technical reports and documentation for clients, ensuring clear communication of project progress and outcomes.
• Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring that deliverables are met on schedule and within financial constraints.
• Troubleshoot and resolve engineering problems that arise during project execution, employing analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in electrical engineering and project management.
• Liaise with clients to understand their needs and expectations, fostering strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction with engineering services.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering and Data Center technologies, incorporating new ideas into your work.
• Participate in internal and external meetings to discuss project status, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is essential.
• At least 12 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on Data Center projects.
• Proficiency in Revit and other relevant design software is required for effective project execution.
• A valid Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory, demonstrating your commitment to high standards in engineering practice.
• Prior experience working in California is a plus, as it offers insights into specific regional regulations and standards.
• Strong communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with team members and clients alike.
• A self-starter attitude with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven problem-solving skills, with a knack for investigating issues and implementing practical solutions.
