About the role
In this Sr Strategic Account Manager role focused on consumer lending, you will own the full lifecycle of key partnerships with fintechs and credit card issuers. You will leverage Nova Credit's cash flow intelligence platform to help these businesses utilize financial data to improve credit approvals and reduce fraud. This position requires a senior individual contributor who balances strategic advisory with hands-on execution. You will manage portfolio expansion while deepening trust-based relationships with executive stakeholders. Success in this role depends on your ability to translate complex data into compelling strategic narratives. You will act as a bridge between customer needs and internal product innovation. Ultimately, your work will drive both revenue growth and customer retention within the consumer lending vertical.

Salary Range: $264,000 - $330,000 USD per year (On-Target Earnings including base, incentive compensation, and commission).

What you'll do
- Build and maintain trust-based relationships with C-suite executives at fintechs and credit card issuers.
- Lead the pre-sales process and execute business development initiatives to grow your portfolio.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews and Executive Steering Committees to align on growth targets and performance metrics.
- Analyze customer data to identify opportunities for product optimization and account expansion within existing relationships.
- Create strategic narratives that present complex financial data concepts clearly to executive stakeholders.
- Advocate for customer needs internally to influence the product roadmap and feature prioritization.
- Mentor team members and establish best practices for managing enterprise financial services accounts.
- Develop and maintain detailed strategic account plans that outline growth initiatives and key milestones.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, legal, and operations to resolve complex client issues.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts to increase wallet share and overall value.
- Prepare executive-level presentations and proposals that highlight value, ROI, and strategic alignment.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to provide insights that inform account strategy and positioning.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise account management, strategic partnerships, or management consulting.
- Proven track record of identifying and closing new business while simultaneously managing existing enterprise financial services relationships.
- Deep understanding of consumer lending, including credit risk management, regulatory requirements, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Ability to synthesize complex data sets into actionable insights tailored for executive audiences.
- Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem solving and root cause analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to travel to client sites approximately 25% of the time.
- Experience working with credit card issuers and fintech platforms is mandatory.
- Knowledge of cash flow underwriting and alternative data applications in lending is required.
- Strong command of professional communication and presentation skills at the executive level.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and data security.
- Proven experience in quota attainment and ownership of revenue targets.
- Willingness to relocate to the NYC area if not currently based, with relocation support provided by the company.
