Business Development Representative, DACH
Job description
About the role
You are the engine that converts strategic account lists into qualified, build-ready pipeline for the DACH region. You will own the full outbound motion, running multi-channel campaigns that force momentum and secure first meetings with the right stakeholders. You will act as the critical filter between aggressive outreach and revenue outcomes, ensuring every meeting handed to Solutions Consultants is primed for success. This role demands that you validate ICP fit, uncover workflow pain, and craft hypotheses that make sellers look like heroes when they walk into the room. You will leverage AI tools and intent signals to sharpen your targeting so that every email, call, and LinkedIn message compounds over time. You will document rigorously in Salesforce, turning raw engagement into clean handoffs that preserve context and urgency. Ultimately, you are the first builder the customer meets, and your work determines whether a conversation starts or a silent opportunity dies.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Generate qualified, workflow-first pipeline by identifying and targeting high-potential accounts in your assigned book, partnering with your sellers on account and outbound strategy.
- Run multi-channel outbound campaigns - email, phone, LinkedIn, and events - to create urgency and secure first meetings with the right decision-makers.
- Conduct initial qualification to ensure meetings handed to sellers are "ready to build," not just "ready to talk" - validating ICP, intent, and workflow fit before the handoff.
- Document and deliver clean handoff packets in Salesforce with ICP signals, pain points, workflow hypothesis, and stakeholder context so sellers can hit the ground running.
- Leverage GTM System tooling and intent data to sharpen targeting, prioritize accounts by signal strength, and increase the quality and consistency of your outbound motion.
- Own the discovery rhythm in discovery calls, asking structured questions that surface latent workflow problems and map them to Notion's builder-led vision.
- Collaborate weekly with Solutions Consultants to refine messaging, adjust target lists, and share field intelligence that reshapes the playbook.
- Track and optimize your pipeline metrics rigorously, iterating on cadences, subject lines, and outreach sequences based on response patterns.
- Represent Notion at relevant industry events and partner sessions, positioning the brand as the collaborative AI workspace for builders.
- Maintain strict data hygiene in CRM, ensuring that every interaction is recorded, tags are accurate, and next steps are visible to the entire GTM team.
- Work closely with RevOps to test new segments, understand attribution, and ensure that your activities feed cleanly into forecasting and pipeline reviews.
- Act as the voice of the DACH market, translating customer language and competitive dynamics into insights that product and marketing can act on.
Requirements
- Proven track record in outbound pipeline generation, with hands-on experience in cold prospecting across phone, email, and social channels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling, persona-specific outreach that earns a response.
- Sharp qualification instincts - able to quickly assess ICP fit, identify urgency, and set solutions consultants up for high-quality first conversations.
- Passion for AI/ML and understanding of API-first or consumption-based business models.
- High-activity mindset with the discipline to prioritize based on signal and data, not just volume.
- You don't need to be an AI expert, but you're curious and willing to adopt AI tools to work smarter and deliver better results.
- Fluency in German.
- Ability to work reliably from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, aligning with anchor days designed for focused collaboration.
- Comfort operating inside strict governance and privacy frameworks, ensuring that all candidate and customer data is handled in line with Notion's Global Recruiting Privacy Policy.
- Willingness to submit an application through the specified portal and acknowledge that compensation data is provided for reference only.
Nice to have
- Experience with Salesforce, Outreach, or similar GTM tooling.
- Familiarity with Notion as a product or prior experience selling productivity, collaboration, or workflow software.
- Background in a high-velocity, metric-driven outbound environment with clear pipeline targets.
