About the role
You will own the translation of complex commercial real estate problems into clear, testable AI and data requirements. You will craft agile user stories and acceptance criteria that guide engineering teams in building responsible AI features and intelligent automation. You will partner directly with data scientists and engineers to define evaluation strategies and guardrails for model behavior. You will leverage modern AI tools such as LLMs and copilots to accelerate your own analysis and documentation workflows. You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure AI solutions remain explainable and aligned with client needs. You will continuously explore how agentic workflows can enhance data operations and decision-making for real estate capital markets. You will champion iterative learning and help foster inclusive teams that mentor one another through evolving technology.

What you'll do
You will gather and refine business requirements for data and AI initiatives with commercial real estate stakeholders. You will convert complex domain needs into agile stories that guide the delivery of AI-enabled solutions and automation. You will collaborate with engineering to establish clear guardrails around accuracy, bias, privacy, and explainability for data models. You will define precise acceptance criteria, including success metrics, evaluation datasets, and fallback strategies for uncertain model outputs. You will actively contribute to agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives focused on AI delivery. You will communicate regularly with sponsors to validate that AI copilots and automations drive measurable business outcomes. You will work with quality assurance practices to verify AI outputs for consistency, accuracy, and safety through structured testing. You will use AI-assisted tools to draft stories, summarize interviews, analyze requirements, and prototype potential solutions. You will identify opportunities to embed AI capabilities into existing data products and business workflows. You will monitor industry trends in data science, large language models, and agile delivery methods to keep solutions forward-looking.
Requirements
You must hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline. You must bring a minimum of three years of experience in business analysis or a closely related field. You must demonstrate a solid understanding of data management principles and data-driven decision-making practices. You must have hands-on experience with agile methodologies and the ability to write clear, concise agile stories. You must possess a working knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts, including large language models, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and agent systems. You must show familiarity with the differences between deterministic and probabilistic AI approaches. You must have practical experience using AI assistants such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms in a professional setting. You must communicate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams across data and AI domains. You must be capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice to have
Experience writing requirements specifically for AI or machine learning features would strengthen your candidacy. Background in commercial real estate, finance, or another regulated industry would provide valuable context. Familiarity with prompt design patterns and evaluation frameworks for LLM outputs would be advantageous. Understanding of responsible AI practices, including bias detection and mitigation techniques, would further support your success. Experience contributing to open source projects or data-focused communities could demonstrate ongoing engagement with the field.
