About the role
Nexthink is seeking a motivated and skilled Solutions Consultant to join our team, focusing on the Federal Civilian market. This position is crucial as we expand our Federal business, and the selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting our sales organization to exceed revenue targets. The Solutions Consultant will leverage their expertise in engaging with Civilian Government Agencies to deliver tailored solutions that align technical capabilities with business objectives.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Take charge of all pre-sales activities related to sales opportunities within the Federal Civilian sector, utilizing your extensive knowledge of sales cycles to meet customer needs effectively.
- Provide essential technical support during the sales process, which includes conducting discovery meetings, delivering technical presentations, and executing product demonstrations.
- Engage with potential customers to showcase our solutions, articulating our unique value proposition and addressing technical inquiries with confidence.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including IT Security, IT Operations, and IT Service Management, to demonstrate how Nexthink can add significant value through innovative use cases.
- Establish yourself as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Nexthink, both within the organization and in external engagements, to advocate for the business value of our platform.
- Assist the sales team in qualifying leads by applying your deep understanding of product capabilities to resolve business challenges and deliver value.
- Conduct seamless Technical Validation cycles, including Proof of Concept (POC) and Proof of Value (POV), to secure technical wins.
- Complete technical and security questionnaires, as well as Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), in compliance with Federal standards.
- Participate in webinars, marketing events, and trade shows to promote Nexthink and its offerings.
- Maintain a proactive approach to learning and adapting to the fast-paced environment of the technology sector.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience selling to Federal Civilian Agencies, with a proven track record of success.
- In-depth knowledge of the Federal market, including an understanding of current industry security standards and regulations relevant to Federal engagements.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leaders, executives, and technical teams.
- An entrepreneurial mindset that allows for independent work while exercising sound judgment and escalating issues when necessary.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-velocity sales environment.
- A strong affinity for technology, enabling rapid learning of Nexthink products and services.
- Prior experience in End User Computing environments, IT Service Management, or Security/Governance/Risk/Compliance is advantageous.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in dynamic work settings and is eager to find solutions.
- Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time, with occasional international travel as needed.
Nice to have
- Experience with digital transformation initiatives within Federal agencies.
- Familiarity with AI-driven technology solutions and their application in IT management.
- Previous involvement in developing and delivering training sessions or workshops.

- Familiarity with IT Service Management frameworks and methodologies.
