What you'll do

• Lead the IT department, managing a team of IT professionals to ensure effective operations and support for all technology-related needs.
• Develop and implement comprehensive IT strategies that align with Nex Health's business goals and enhance operational efficiency.
• Oversee the security framework of the organization, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations to protect sensitive data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technology needs and provide solutions that drive business growth and improve patient engagement.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring that services meet organizational requirements and budget constraints.
• Establish and enforce IT policies and procedures to maintain a secure and efficient technology environment.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure Nex Health remains competitive and innovative in its offerings.
• Provide training and support to staff on IT security best practices and the use of technology tools to enhance productivity.
• Prepare and manage the IT budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective operations.
• Report to senior leadership on IT performance metrics, security incidents, and strategic initiatives.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the IT team, encouraging professional development and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role focused on security.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
• Proven experience in developing and implementing IT strategies that support business objectives.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud technologies, data management, and IT infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
• Experience in the healthcare technology sector, particularly with EHR systems.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in IT management software and tools, including project management and security monitoring systems.
• Strong understanding of network security protocols and data encryption technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with database management systems and data analytics tools.
