What you'll do
- Oversee the daily operations of Mosaicbc, ensuring that all programs and services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate with various teams to develop and implement community outreach initiatives that align with our organizational goals.
- Manage a diverse team of staff and volunteers, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funders to enhance program visibility and support.
- Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, utilizing data to inform decision-making and improve service delivery.
- Prepare and manage budgets for various programs, ensuring financial accountability and sustainability.
- Facilitate training and professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in service delivery.
- Serve as a point of contact for community inquiries, providing information and resources to individuals seeking assistance.
- Lead regular team meetings to communicate updates, share best practices, and address challenges.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop strategic plans that align with the mission and vision of Mosaicbc.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and relevant regulations in all program activities.
- Represent Mosaicbc at community events and meetings, advocating for the needs of the populations we serve.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in social work, public administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of experience in program coordination or management within a non-profit organization.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in budget management and financial reporting.
- Experience in program evaluation and data analysis to inform decision-making.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Knowledge of community resources and services available to individuals and families.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations affecting non-profit organizations in British Columbia.
Nice to have
- A master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience working with immigrant and refugee populations.
- Bilingual abilities in English and another language commonly spoken in the community.
- Familiarity with grant writing and fundraising strategies.
- Previous experience in advocacy or policy development related to social services.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software.
- Familiarity with data management systems and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating program effectiveness and making data-driven decisions.
- Ability to utilize social media and digital communication tools for outreach and engagement.
Practical notes
- This position is based in Surrey, British Columbia, and may require occasional travel within the region for community outreach and partnership meetings.
