About the role
This position defines how MoonPay connects with the world through live experiences by architecting and executing high-visibility sponsorships and brand activations that define the company culture. The successful hire will own the narrative for MoonPay through world-class events and partnerships, working cross-functionally with Design, Social, Finance, and Legal to manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, partners, and event organizers. Success in this role requires ownership, precision, and the ability to transform complex requirements into flawless execution under pressure while delivering high-impact moments across conferences, sports, and entertainment. You will contribute creative concepts, build detailed plans, handle on-site execution, and ensure every activation reflects the MoonPay standard of excellence, including major partnerships such as the X Games. The role demands the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while reinforcing MoonPay's cultural relevance through original concepts that resonate with target communities. You will create and manage project timelines, operational frameworks, and internal documentation to guide execution as an operator who values results over process. The position operates at the center of value movement, supporting millions of customers and partners with AI as the default mode for automating manual work so the team can focus on high-impact outcomes.

What you'll do
Plan and execute sponsorships, activations, and events across crypto, culture, sports, and entertainment, including major partnerships and experiential programs while ensuring flawless on-site execution. Develop original concepts that resonate with target communities and reinforce MoonPay's cultural relevance through creative thinking and strategic insight. Create and manage project timelines, operational frameworks, and internal documentation to guide execution and maintain clarity for cross-functional teams. Coordinate guest management, staffing, and on-site operations to ensure seamless experiences for all stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and attendees. Monitor and fulfill sponsor obligations, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule while adhering to contractual terms. Manage sponsor agreements, purchase orders, and invoicing in collaboration with Finance and Legal to maintain compliance and accuracy. Oversee production of branded materials and collateral, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders for timely delivery and brand consistency. Align campaigns and activations with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and execution across all touchpoints and channels. Prepare post-event analysis, reporting, and budget reviews to capture insights and improve future programs through data-driven decisions. Act as a central point of contact, removing blockers and maintaining momentum across teams to keep projects moving forward efficiently. Translate strategy into clear briefs that guide creative and operational teams, ensuring alignment between objectives and execution. Analyze data and financials to refine strategies and demonstrate impact, using insights to optimize future events and marketing initiatives. Communicate confidently with sponsors and stakeholders to sustain strong relationships and build long-term partnerships that support growth. Adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, showing resilience and flexibility when managing shifting priorities and deadlines. Leverage experience in crypto or major sporting events to identify opportunities and mitigate risks in high-visibility programs.
Requirements
You must bring three or more years of experience in events marketing, brand partnerships, or experiential roles, demonstrating a proven ability to execute complex programs. You excel at managing multiple workstreams while maintaining sharp attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations. You have a proven track record of coordinating with vendors, agencies, venues, and partners, navigating negotiations, contracts, and logistics with professionalism. You work effectively with Finance and Legal teams to handle contracts, budgets, and compliance, ensuring all documentation is thorough and aligned with company standards. You can translate strategy into clear briefs that guide creative and operational teams, providing structure and direction for collaborative efforts. You analyze data and financials to refine strategies and demonstrate impact, using metrics to evaluate success and inform decision-making. You communicate confidently with sponsors and stakeholders to sustain strong relationships, building trust and credibility through consistent follow-through and transparency. You adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, showing agility and composure when managing competing demands and urgent requests. Experience in crypto or major sporting events is a strong advantage, providing context for high-stakes, high-visibility programs. Specific tools are not prescribed, but you must be proficient in managing detailed project workflows, including scheduling, resourcing, and documentation. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with cross-functional partners to align on goals and resolve challenges efficiently. Practical notes
The role is based in New York with a hybrid schedule requiring two days in the office each week. Relocation is not available. Travel may be required for specific events.
