About the role
Mixpanel is seeking a Head of Sales ANZ to own and scale the revenue strategy for Australia and New Zealand. The role holder will be accountable for leading the end-to-end sales lifecycle, from initial customer acquisition through to expansion and renewal management. This leader will drive commercial execution in alignment with the regional GTM strategy while maintaining a relentless focus on customer outcomes. They will coach and develop high-performing sales professionals across all segments, ensuring consistent pipeline generation and conversion. What you'll do
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Executives across SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise segments to ensure consistent performance and professional growth.
Drive achievement of revenue targets across new business, expansion, and renewals by identifying blockers and enabling proactive solutions.
Partner with the VP of Sales, APAC to execute regional GTM strategy and uncover new growth opportunities in Australia and New Zealand.
Build and maintain a robust, predictable pipeline by leveraging outbound, inbound, and product-led motions tailored to each segment.
Act as a player-coach by supporting reps in strategic deals, guiding deal progression, and preparing teams for executive conversations.
Establish and reinforce scalable sales processes and methodologies that adapt effectively across SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise environments.
Drive operational rigour across forecasting, pipeline management, and territory planning to improve visibility and decision-making.
Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, and Partnerships to execute integrated GTM motions.
Hire, onboard, and develop top sales talent, ensuring strong coverage and capability across segments and geographies.
Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous development within the sales team.
Provide clear visibility into performance, risks, and opportunities to regional leadership for timely interventions.
Own the end-to-end sales cycle for key strategic accounts, ensuring alignment between customer needs and Mixpanel capabilities.
Champion data-driven decision-making by utilizing metrics and insights to refine strategies and improve team outcomes.
Act as the primary point of escalation and strategic advisor for complex deals, influencing at the highest levels when required.
Represent Mixpanel in the market by building relationships with analysts, partners, and key industry stakeholders.
Requirements
6-10+ years of experience in SaaS sales, with 3-5+ years in a sales leadership role managing teams and complex pipelines.
Proven track record of leading sales teams across SMB, Mid-Market, and/or Enterprise segments with consistent performance against targets.
Strong experience operating in Australia, New Zealand, and/or broader APAC markets, with a deep understanding of local business culture, buying cycles, and stakeholder dynamics.
Experience managing a mix of inbound, outbound, and product-led sales motions to drive acquisition and expansion across segments.
Strong command of sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC, Challenger, and Force Management, and the ability to adapt them across different segments.
Demonstrated ability to coach sales representatives through varying deal complexities, from transactional engagements to highly strategic, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics, dashboards, and insights to manage performance, forecast accurately, and inform strategic decisions.
Passion for recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent, with a track record of building high-performing and diverse teams.
Hands-on leadership style characterized by a strong player-coach mentality, presence, and willingness to engage in critical deals and conversations.
Strong communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders and articulate value clearly and persuasively.
