Job description
About the role
You own procurement strategy and team execution, driving vendor value and risk control for Mixpanel. This role translates business demand into compliant purchasing workflows. You coach colleagues and partners on best practices while scaling the program.
About Mixpanel and the Operational Finance Team
Mixpanel is the leading product intelligence and analytics platform, trusted by more than 29,000 companies to help understand how people use the products they build. By combining powerful analytics with AI that knows your business, Mixpanel helps teams see what is working, diagnose what is not, and decide what to build next. The Operational Finance Team is responsible for a variety of tasks that are instrumental in keeping the business running on a day-to-day basis. There are four teams within the Operational Finance Function, each serving a specific purpose for the company: Accounting and Accounts Payable accurately records all vendor-related transactions and keeps vendors paid; the Billing Team provisions all customer access to Mixpanel and ensures proper revenue recognition; the Collection Team records all customer payments and ensures the company gets paid on time; and Payroll prepares payrolls for all employees worldwide. The team is split between the Bay Area, London, Bangalore, and Barcelona.
Responsibilities

You will collaborate cross-functionally with key internal teams such as FP&A, Security, IT, and Legal on purchasing processes and improvements, building productive relationships with adjacent teams and resolving misalignments directly. You will build strategic relationships with key vendors and technology partners to use strategic discounts and maximize value. You will promote a culture of innovation on the team by identifying opportunities to improve outcomes through better processes and targeted use of AI and emerging tools, and lead initiatives to implement procurement process improvements. You will provide procurement process training for Mixpanel employees involved with procurement of products and services.
