What you'll do

• Conduct comprehensive energy audits for commercial and residential properties to assess current energy usage and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop tailored energy efficiency programs based on audit findings, ensuring they meet the specific needs of clients while adhering to industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to design and implement energy-saving solutions, including HVAC upgrades, lighting retrofits, and insulation improvements.
• Analyze energy consumption data to track performance metrics and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies.
• Provide clients with detailed reports and presentations that outline potential energy savings, return on investment, and environmental benefits.
• Stay updated on the latest energy efficiency technologies, regulations, and incentives to provide informed recommendations to clients.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops for clients and staff on energy conservation practices and the importance of sustainability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and utility companies to foster collaboration and ensure successful project outcomes.
• Assist in the preparation of grant applications and proposals for energy efficiency projects, seeking funding opportunities to support client initiatives.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously improve Bamboohr's service offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
• Act as a resource for clients regarding energy efficiency certifications and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about energy conservation and promote Bamboohr's services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Energy Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in energy efficiency consulting or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of energy systems, building performance, and sustainability practices.
• Proficiency in energy modeling software and tools, such as EnergyPlus, eQuest, or similar applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Familiarity with energy efficiency programs and incentives offered by utility companies and government agencies.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
• Certification as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or similar credential is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience in project management, particularly in energy efficiency or sustainability projects.
• Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and their integration into energy efficiency strategies.
• Familiarity with LEED certification processes and requirements.
• Previous experience working with government agencies or non-profit organizations focused on energy conservation.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish or another language is a plus.
