About the role

In the Financial Advisory department, our Forensic, Compliance, and Litigation team encompasses three key areas: Investigation, Litigation, and Compliance. We are looking to strengthen our team by hiring a Senior Compliance Consultant who specializes in the prevention and detection of corruption and fraud risks. This role will involve working closely with clients, including medium-sized enterprises and large multinational corporations, primarily in France and internationally, to ensure they meet regulatory compliance standards.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with clients to develop and implement compliance frameworks that adhere to the Sapin 2 law and recommendations from the French Anti-Corruption Agency (AFA).
• Conduct internal investigations into cases of financial fraud, embezzlement, and unethical practices, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
• Assess financial damages related to litigation and arbitration cases, analyzing financial operations and supporting post-acquisition disputes.
• Design and audit anti-corruption compliance programs, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Create corruption risk maps in accordance with the Sapin 2 legislation to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Assist clients during AFA audits and provide remediation support to address any findings.
• Review internal control mechanisms to combat fraud and corruption effectively.
• Perform gap analyses against ISO 37001 standards for anti-corruption management systems or other relevant frameworks.
• Conduct compliance due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, ensuring that all parties meet compliance standards.
• Develop and enhance third-party evaluation processes to mitigate risks associated with external partnerships.
• Deliver training sessions on anti-corruption practices for client staff to ensure awareness and adherence to compliance protocols.
• Participate in the development of commercial proposals and contribute to the creation of thought leadership publications.

Requirements

• A master's degree (Bac+5) in law, business management, political science, or a related field.
• At least two years of professional experience in anti-corruption, business ethics, risk management, internal control, or internal auditing, gained either in-house or within a consulting firm.
• Strong knowledge of the Sapin 2 law and AFA recommendations is essential.
• Relevant certifications, such as ISO 37001 or Certified Fraud Examiner, are considered advantageous.
• Exceptional analytical, synthesis, and writing skills, along with adaptability and critical thinking.
• A high level of curiosity, initiative, and teamwork, with strong organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI tools and data analytics software is an added advantage.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a consulting role focused on compliance or forensic investigations.
• Understanding of international regulations such as the UK Bribery Act (UKBA) or the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
• Experience in managing client relationships and working collaboratively with various stakeholders.
• Knowledge of financial analysis and modeling techniques.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous professional development.

Skills & tools

• Proficiency in compliance management software and data analysis tools.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
• Ability to technology for process improvement and efficiency.
