About the role
As a Senior Manager at Mazars, you will play a crucial role in managing risks associated with non-regulated business activities. Reporting to the team director, you will partner with operational teams throughout the entire lifecycle of client engagements. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the identification and mitigation of risks, thereby contributing to the secure development of business opportunities. You will join the non-regulated risk team, which supports operational teams in their interactions with clients and partners.

What you'll do
- Assess commercial opportunities presented by operational teams, focusing on potential risks related to clients, missions, and contractual obligations.
- Identify key risk factors, including client reputation, technical complexity, independence issues, and financial conditions.
- Challenge operational teams regarding the relevance of opportunities and the acceptable level of risk.
- Recommend tailored risk mitigation measures to enhance client engagement security.
- Assist teams in structuring proposals, defining scopes, and integrating risk requirements into their offerings.
- Participate actively in acceptance committees to evaluate and approve new projects.
- Raise awareness among teams about risk implications and the importance of risk management in their work.
- Support teams in assessing risks associated with ongoing missions, ensuring that appropriate validations are secured.
- Formalize decisions and maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure traceability of risk evaluations.
- Monitor risks throughout the mission lifecycle, identifying early warning signs such as scope deviations, client tensions, or potential legal issues.
- Encourage teams to implement corrective actions when necessary and update risk assessments accordingly.
- Conduct post-mission reviews to analyze incidents and challenges encountered, comparing outcomes against initial expectations.
- Capture lessons learned to inform future projects and identify areas for process and contractual improvements.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the risk management framework within the organization.
- Manage disputes and conduct an annual review of the risk portfolio to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements
- A master's degree (Bac+5) from a business school or university is required.
- A minimum of 9 years of successful experience in audit, consulting, or a risk management function within a corporate environment.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills, coupled with a pragmatic understanding of business challenges and associated risks.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail to ensure thorough risk assessments.
- Proven written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
- A collaborative mindset, with a preference for teamwork and the ability to lead high-level discussions and negotiations with clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, as interactions with clients will predominantly occur in this language.

- Previous experience in a consulting or audit firm, particularly in roles focused on risk management.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements relevant to non-regulated business activities.
- An understanding of industry-specific risks, particularly in sectors such as finance, technology, or healthcare.
