Mazars is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its advisory practice, focusing on IT strategy and IT mergers and acquisitions. The role involves guiding clients through complex technology-driven transactions and helping organizations align their digital capabilities with broader business objectives. You will work closely with senior leadership teams to evaluate IT assets, assess integration risks, and develop strategies that maximize value during corporate deals. This position is based in the firm's Levallois-Perret office and requires a full-time commitment. The consultant will play a key part in shaping how clients approach technology decisions in the context of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transformations. You will contribute to building long-term client relationships and supporting the growth of Mazars advisory services in the technology sector. What you'll do

• Lead comprehensive IT due diligence assessments for M&A transactions across multiple industry sectors and geographies
• Develop and present IT strategy recommendations to senior client stakeholders in both French and English
• Evaluate target companies technology infrastructure, software portfolios, and digital capabilities to inform deal decisions
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including legal, finance, and operations professionals throughout the transaction lifecycle
• Identify technology-related risks and opportunities in corporate deal negotiations and integration planning processes
• Support post-merger integration planning for IT systems, platforms, and organizational structures across merged entities
• Conduct detailed market analysis on technology trends that affect valuation models and deal structures
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for client review, board meetings, and strategic decision-making sessions
• Manage ongoing client relationships and ensure all deliverables meet agreed timelines and quality standards
• Contribute to business development efforts by proposing new advisory service offerings and thought leadership pieces
• Assess data management practices, governance structures, and regulatory compliance within potential acquisition targets
• Facilitate workshops with technical and business teams to align on integration priorities and workstreams
• Support the development of IT due diligence frameworks and methodologies that improve deal execution efficiency across the firm
• Collaborate with external advisors, bankers, and legal counsel to ensure technology considerations are integrated into deal terms

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in IT consulting, strategy, or M&A advisory roles within professional services
• Strong understanding of IT systems, enterprise software, and digital transformation initiatives in corporate environments
• Proven track record of delivering client-facing advisory projects in a consulting or audit firm setting
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex technical and financial information effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English at a professional level
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
• Degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related academic discipline
• Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites and external meetings across different regions
• Experience working in a multicultural team environment with international clients is considered a strong advantage

Nice to have

• Prior experience working with private equity firms or corporate development teams in technology transactions
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and data privacy regulations such as GDPR and the NIS2 directive
• Practical experience with major ERP systems and cloud infrastructure assessment methodologies in due diligence
• Background in valuation modeling or financial due diligence for technology assets and intellectual property portfolios

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint for financial modeling and reporting
• Experience with deal management and project tracking platforms commonly used in advisory and consulting
• Understanding of IT governance frameworks and enterprise architecture standards applied in transaction contexts
• Familiarity with financial modeling and valuation methodologies specifically applied to technology transactions and deals
• Knowledge of agile and waterfall project management approaches in consulting and corporate development settings
• Ability to use data analysis tools for technology assessment, benchmarking, and due diligence exercises
