What you'll do
Develop and execute global communications strategies that elevate Tinder's brand presence across all 190+ markets
Write and edit press releases, media pitches, and editorial content for internal and external audiences
Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets worldwide
Support crisis communications efforts to protect the brand's reputation and user trust at scale
Collaborate with product, marketing, and legal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels
Track media coverage and analyze sentiment to refine communication approaches and improve reach over time
Represent Tinder at industry events, conferences, and award submissions on behalf of the brand
Translate complex product updates and company initiatives into clear, compelling narratives for the public
Manage the production of quarterly and annual communications reports for senior leadership and executives
Champion the company's six core values through every external-facing communication and strategic partnership
Coordinate with regional teams to localize messaging and ensure cultural relevance in each market
Oversee the creation of internal communications that keep employees informed and aligned with company goals
Ensure all external communications align with the company's safety-first approach and commitment to user well-being
Requirements
Seven or more years of experience in communications, public relations, or journalism within a consumer technology company
Proven track record of managing media relations for a globally recognized consumer brand or digital product
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for different cultures and regions
Experience working with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, legal, and executive leadership
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field from an accredited institution
Deep understanding of digital media landscapes, social platforms, and online reputation management strategies
Willingness to travel occasionally for events, meetings, and media engagements in various regions around the world
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously
Nice to have
Experience working specifically in the dating or social networking industry and understanding its unique communication challenges
Fluency in a second language beyond English, particularly one spoken across multiple Tinder markets internationally
Background in behavioral science, AI, or machine learning and the ability to communicate technical topics clearly
Existing relationships with top-tier technology and lifestyle media outlets in North America and internationally
Skills & tools
Proficiency in media monitoring and analytics platforms such as Meltwater, Cision, or similar tools
Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace for collaboration and reporting
Experience with content management systems and internal communications platforms like Slack or Microsoft Teams
Ability to use design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite for supporting visual communications
Familiarity with social media management platforms including Sprinklr or Hootsuite for campaign tracking
Knowledge of SEO principles and content optimization for digital press and editorial coverage
Practical notes
This role is based in New York, New York, and requires on-site presence at the Match Group office during standard business hours
The position reports to the Director or VP of Communications within the Tinder team at Match Group
