About the role
You will architect and own the cross-functional operating model for Tinder IRL events, translating ambiguous market opportunities into clear, executable plans that drive user-centric experiences. You will partner deeply with Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics, BD, Partnerships, Event Ops, and Marketing to align priorities and remove execution barriers across the full event lifecycle. You will bring structure to rapidly evolving initiatives, ensuring clarity of scope, timeline, and success metrics while maintaining a bias for speed and safety. You will act as the central nervous system for event delivery, coordinating stakeholders and resources to meet global scale demands with consistency and excellence. You will champion data-informed decisions, using insights from analytics and user feedback to iterate on event features and operational flows. You will communicate progress and trade-offs with radical candor, ensuring all teams share a common understanding of goals, risks, and outcomes. You will uphold the values of safety, integrity, and transparency in every decision, ensuring that user trust remains central to how we design and execute IRL experiences.

What you'll do
Define and own the end-to-end operating model for Tinder IRL events, coordinating cross-functional inputs from discovery through execution and post-mortem analysis.
Translate ambiguous business opportunities and user needs into structured event strategies, defining scope, milestones, success metrics, and risk mitigation plans.
Partner with Product and Engineering to translate product vision into technical specifications and timelines that account for dependencies, scalability, and performance.
Collaborate with Design and Analytics to build user journey maps, prototype event flows, and define experiments that validate hypotheses and inform iteration.
Work with BD and Partnerships to evaluate venue options, third-party vendors, and logistical constraints, ensuring alignment with brand standards and cost efficiency.
Coordinate with Event Ops and Marketing to synchronize on-site execution, staffing, safety protocols, and promotional campaigns that deliver seamless user experiences.
Establish clear communication rhythms, cadences, and artifacts across teams to maintain alignment, surface blockers early, and enable fast decision-making.
Leverage data and qualitative insights to evaluate event performance, identify friction points, and prioritize improvements for future iterations.
Champion safety and compliance standards in all event designs, ensuring that policies, privacy, and local regulations are respected in every market.
Act as the primary point of contact for cross-functional stakeholders, providing status updates, rationale, and context for trade-offs during critical phases.
Drive operational excellence by documenting processes, playbooks, and runbooks that enable teams to replicate success at scale.
Support the launch of new event types by coordinating pilots, collecting feedback, and scaling features based on measured outcomes and learning.
Own risk management for event execution, identifying potential issues related to logistics, safety, user experience, and regulatory requirements ahead of time.
Promote a culture of learning by facilitating post-event retrospectives, capturing insights, and sharing best practices across product and operations teams.
Requirements
You will demonstrate a track record of delivering complex, cross-functional programs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with ambiguous requirements.
You possess strong written and verbal communication skills, able to translate technical concepts into clear narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
You have experience managing priorities and timelines across multiple stakeholders while maintaining a bias for speed and execution.
You are comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and navigating rapidly changing priorities without losing focus on long-term goals.

You are located in Los Angeles, California, or are willing to relocate to the area to fulfill the in-office requirement.

Nice to have

Practical notes
This role requires in-office collaboration three days per week and is based in Los Angeles, California.
You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship from the company.
Relocation to the Los Angeles area may be necessary to meet the in-office requirement.
