What you'll do
- Transcribe spoken testimony and dialogue in real time using advanced AI court reporting software to support accurate record-keeping across diverse case types.
- Travel strategically across designated zones in New York City to attend remote or in-person depositions and hearings as scheduled by the operations team.
- Capture every utterance with precision, applying knowledge of legal jargon, accents, and rapid speech to maintain transcript integrity under tight deadlines.
- Collaborate directly with attorneys and litigation teams to clarify unclear testimony, confirm names and dates, and ensure the record reflects the intended narrative.
- Adapt swiftly between different legal settings, such as civil trials, corporate depositions, and administrative hearings, while adhering to strict procedural protocols.
- Maintain confidential case information at all times, honoring non-disclosure agreements and firm policies that protect client privacy and data security.
- Utilize proprietary reporting tools to review, edit, and finalize transcripts, ensuring compliance with formatting standards and client specifications.
- Identify patterns in speech and testimony to optimize your real-time writing, leveraging experience to increase accuracy and reduce necessary revisions.
- Support quality assurance processes by accepting feedback from supervisors and peers, integrating suggestions to refine technique and output.

Requirements
- You must be a United States citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident to comply with client security requirements.
- You must reside in the state of Delaware to ensure eligibility for remote work assignments and local travel expectations.
- You must pass a criminal background check and drug screening as part of the pre-employment evaluation process.
- You must provide proof of vaccination and complete any mandated health forms prior to onsite travel assignments when required.
- You must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to accommodate travel within New York City boroughs and surrounding areas.
- You must meet minimum equipment specifications for home office setup, including high-speed internet, a secure computer, and required peripherals.
- You must demonstrate the ability to type a minimum of 225 words per minute with exceptional accuracy during timed exercises.
- You must complete all stages of the in-house training program successfully before advancing to independent case assignments.
- You must commit to ongoing performance evaluations to maintain eligibility for tier-level progression and bonus eligibility.
Practical notes
Hours: Full-Time, remote with up to 25% travel across the five boroughs of New York City, NY.
Travel: You will travel strategically across designated zones in New York City to support remote and in-person proceedings as scheduled.
