What you'll do

• Lead and manage the accounts payable team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional development.
• Oversee the entire accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor management, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Implement and enhance accounts payable policies and procedures to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective communication regarding payment processes and vendor relationships.
• Monitor accounts payable metrics and KPIs, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and report findings to senior management.
• Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues to maintain positive partnerships.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments, including weekly and monthly payment runs, while managing cash flow effectively.
• Conduct regular audits of accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to accounts payable and financial operations, implementing necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, providing insights related to accounts payable activities and their impact on overall financial performance.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives as required, contributing to the continuous improvement of the finance function.
• Train and develop team members on accounts payable processes and systems, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with experience in tools such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
