About the role
You will own the technical strategy and execution for the Luxury product area, balancing long term platform investments with high impact product work. You will serve as a critical technical leader across backend, frontend, iOS, and Android, ensuring cohesive architecture and quality for Black, Black SUV, and other upmarket modes. You will mentor and grow a diverse team of engineers while collaborating closely with product, design, data science, and operations to define and deliver the luxury experience. You will drive cross functional alignment, remove impediments, and instill a culture of ownership and continuous improvement so your team can ship delightful experiences at scale.

- Lead a team of talented backend, frontend, and mobile engineers and engineering managers who like to ship code and tackle hard engineering problems while maintaining high standards for reliability and performance.

- Partner with data science and analytics to define and track meaningful metrics, using insights to inform product decisions and validate the impact of implemented solutions.
- Collaborate with design and operations to ensure that the end to end user journey is seamless, efficient, and consistent across all touchpoints for passengers and drivers.
- Drive technical execution in a heavily cross functional environment, removing blockers and aligning stakeholders so projects can move forward regardless of organizational complexity.
- Help shape product direction by developing a deep understanding of customer needs, translating qualitative insights into clear product and engineering requirements.
Requirements
- You have 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams of 20+ members, as well as experience in managing managers. Able to contribute to planning and design discussions.
- You have experience building trust to lead a team of engineers and guiding them through their career development, including growing managers and staff engineers.
