Key facts
What you'll do
- Design and develop interactive eLearning modules using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and analyze content requirements, ensuring alignment with learning objectives.
- Implement best practices in instructional design to create engaging and effective learning experiences tailored to diverse audiences.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in knowledge and skills, and propose appropriate eLearning solutions.
- Utilize multimedia elements, including graphics, audio, and video, to enhance the overall learning experience.
- Develop assessments and evaluation tools to measure learner progress and the effectiveness of training programs.
- Maintain and update existing eLearning content to ensure it remains current and relevant.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users navigating the eLearning platform, addressing any issues that arise.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in eLearning and instructional design, integrating new ideas into your work.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT and marketing, to ensure a cohesive approach to eLearning initiatives.
- Participate in project management activities, including planning, scheduling, and tracking the progress of eLearning projects.
- Gather feedback from learners and stakeholders to continuously improve the quality of eLearning offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in eLearning development or instructional design.
- Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar software.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and familiarity with SCORM and xAPI standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript is an advantage but not mandatory.
Nice to have
- Experience in the military or defense industry is beneficial.
- Certification in instructional design or eLearning development (e.g., ATD, ISPI) is a plus.
- Familiarity with video editing software and techniques.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in eLearning.
- Experience in conducting training sessions or workshops for educators or corporate trainers.
