What you'll do

• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and analyze content requirements for various training programs.
• Design and develop engaging instructional materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training guides, and assessment tools.
• Implement and evaluate instructional strategies that align with industry best practices and adult learning theories.
• Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in existing training programs and recommend enhancements or new curriculum development.
• Utilize various multimedia tools and technologies to create interactive and visually appealing training content.
• Ensure all curriculum materials are compliant with relevant regulations and standards, including military guidelines.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops to pilot new curriculum and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in training methodologies and technologies to inform curriculum development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of training programs with organizational goals and objectives.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and performance metrics.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to instructors and facilitators in the delivery of training programs.
• Document and report on curriculum development processes, outcomes, and recommendations for future projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in curriculum development or instructional design, preferably within the defense or military sector.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Proficiency in e-learning development tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
• Experience with project management principles and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with assessment and evaluation techniques to measure training effectiveness.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills to assess training needs and recommend appropriate solutions.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
• Experience working with military training programs or in a defense contracting environment.
• Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and their implementation.
• Certification in instructional design or a related area (e.g., ATD, ISPI).
• Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar applications.
