What you'll do
- Design and implement comprehensive training programs focused on special reconnaissance techniques and methodologies.
- Conduct in-depth instruction on surveillance, reconnaissance planning, and execution, ensuring trainees understand the tactical application of these skills.
- Evaluate the performance of trainees through practical exercises and assessments, providing constructive feedback to enhance their capabilities.
- Collaborate with other instructors and subject matter experts to develop training materials and resources that reflect current best practices in the field.
- Lead field training exercises that simulate real-world reconnaissance scenarios, allowing trainees to apply their skills in a controlled environment.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in reconnaissance technology and tactics, integrating new information into training curricula.
- Mentor and guide junior instructors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the training team.
- Participate in after-action reviews to assess training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement in both instruction and curriculum design.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and operational protocols during training exercises, prioritizing the well-being of all participants.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including military units and allied forces, to share knowledge and best practices in reconnaissance training.
- Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to reconnaissance operations and training.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to training outcomes and participant progress.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in special reconnaissance or related military operations.
- Proven instructional experience, preferably in a military or tactical training environment.
- Strong understanding of reconnaissance tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.
- Familiarity with current reconnaissance technologies and equipment used in the field.
- Must possess a valid security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
- Physical fitness and the ability to meet the demands of field training exercises.
- Willingness to travel as required for training and operational support.
Nice to have
- Experience in developing training curricula and instructional materials.
- Previous experience working with joint or coalition forces in a reconnaissance capacity.
- Certifications in instructional design or adult education methodologies.
