About the role
You will own the end-to-end accuracy and integrity of our revenue lifecycle, managing billing execution from new business onboarding through renewals and cancellations. This role places you at the center of our operational transformation, where you will leverage AI-driven automation to enhance financial workflows and decision-making. You are accountable for building and maintaining robust metric dashboards that translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for leadership. The position requires proactive ownership of credit control and cash forecasting to mitigate risk and optimize working capital. You will act as a key catalyst for process excellence, driving UAT, data validation, and auditing to ensure seamless system transitions. Collaboration is central to this role, as you will partner closely with Sales, Customer Experience, and Legal to resolve intricate billing challenges. Ultimately, you will help uncover patterns, risks, and growth opportunities that directly support scalable revenue strategies.

What you'll do
- Execute end-to-end billing management across the complete customer lifecycle, including new business, expansions, renewals, downgrades, and cancellations, while owning revenue reporting and analysis for new and expansion revenue streams.
- Lead credit control initiatives to ensure timely collection of receivables, manage overdue accounts, reduce aged debt, and provide accurate cash forecasting to support leadership decision-making.
- Drive the transition to our new billing process by validating data, leading UAT efforts, and auditing workflows to ensure high accuracy during the critical final three-month countdown and enable automation.
- Build, maintain, and optimize metric dashboards that monitor revenue performance, providing leadership with clear visibility into financial health and operational efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Experience, and Legal, to investigate and resolve complex billing issues swiftly and collaboratively.
- Analyze operational workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support scalable finance operations.
- Utilize AI tools and automation technologies to streamline repetitive tasks, improve data reconciliation speed, and increase accuracy in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
- Monitor revenue recognition principles to ensure alignment with accounting standards and support audits, contributing to the maintenance of robust financial controls.
- Investigate anomalies and discrepancies in revenue data, performing deep dives to resolve issues and prevent recurrence across billing systems.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for billing operations, documenting procedures and supporting training for stakeholders across the organization.
- Track key revenue metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, translating findings into recommendations that support strategic growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with Finance leadership to forecast revenue scenarios, assess the financial impact of product changes, and guide investment decisions.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to revenue management, safeguarding the integrity of financial reporting.
- Act as the primary point of contact for billing-related queries, escalating critical issues as required and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years' experience working in a Finance department, preferably within Accounts Receivable or Credit Control, providing a foundation for managing billing and revenue processes.
- Strong analytical skills for revenue reporting and data reconciliation, with a demonstrated ability to process large volumes of data accurately in a fast-paced, high-dependency environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and dispute resolution abilities to engage effectively with customers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional partners.
- Working knowledge of accounting software, Salesforce CRM, and basic revenue recognition principles to ensure accurate financial tracking and compliance.
- Prior experience with system improvements, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives that drive measurable improvements in billing and finance workflows.
- Familiarity with AI tools and their application in streamlining tasks, enhancing data analysis, and supporting operational scalability in a SaaS context.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting strict deadlines in a dynamic financial environment.
- Willingness to engage with emerging technologies and contribute to the adoption of AI-driven workflows that reshape traditional finance operations.

- Demonstrated experience working within a subscription or recurring revenue environment, understanding the nuances of billing cycles and revenue recognition.
- Strong ownership mindset, with the capability to work independently and as part of a distributed Finance team embracing digital transformation.
- Willingness to participate in the rollout and testing of new billing systems, ensuring a smooth transition through rigorous validation and user acceptance testing.
