What you'll do
- Lead and manage BMS projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, and deliverables, in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and mitigating risks proactively to avoid delays and budget overruns.
- Facilitate regular project meetings with stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and address any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, maintaining high safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and present project reports and documentation, including status updates, financial reports, and post-project evaluations.
- Manage client relationships, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project duration.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and resources necessary for project execution, negotiating contracts with suppliers as needed.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality control measures are being implemented effectively.
- Train and mentor junior project team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in BMS technology to enhance project delivery and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically within the BMS or building services sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with a solid understanding of BMS technologies and systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Relevant project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices in the construction and engineering sectors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
