What you'll do
- Lead and manage BMS projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
- Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, and deliverables, and communicate these plans effectively to all stakeholders.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and installation, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct regular project meetings to monitor progress, address challenges, and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including reports, schedules, and financial records, to track project performance and compliance.
- Ensure that all project activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing any concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to enhance collaboration and project success.
- Mentor and guide junior project team members, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate project performance post-completion to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement in future projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in BMS technology to ensure that Learnd remains at the forefront of innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically within the BMS or building services sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on delivering results.
- Strong understanding of BMS technologies, including HVAC, lighting, and energy management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as MS Project or similar applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices in project management.
Nice to have
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Experience with software programming related to BMS systems.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency standards and sustainable building practices.
- Previous experience in a client-facing role, particularly in a consultancy capacity.
- Familiarity with contract management and negotiation processes.
