What you'll do

• Lead and supervise a team of van packers, ensuring that all members are trained and equipped to perform their tasks effectively.
• Organize and allocate daily workloads to ensure timely and efficient packing and dispatch of goods.
• Monitor the performance of team members, providing feedback and support to enhance productivity and morale.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and inventory management, to streamline operations and resolve any issues that arise.
• Maintain accurate records of packing operations, including inventory levels and delivery schedules.
• Implement best practices in packing techniques to minimize damage and optimize space utilization in delivery vehicles.
• Address any customer inquiries or issues related to packing and delivery, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss performance metrics, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
• Utilize technology and software tools to track packing processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Prepare reports on team performance and operational metrics for management review.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment, ideally with at least 3 years in a similar position.
• Strong understanding of packing and logistics processes, with a focus on efficiency and safety.
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Proficient in using technology and software relevant to logistics and inventory management.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and other departments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• A valid driver's license may be required for this role.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management systems is a plus.
