About the role
The Administrator position at Bamboohr is a full-time role based in Derby, Derbyshire. What you'll do
- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence including emails, letters, and packages to ensure timely and accurate communication across the organization
- Maintaining accurate records and files using established office filing systems and procedures to keep information organized and accessible
- Coordinating meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for staff members and leadership to ensure smooth scheduling and logistics
- Supporting the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation as needed by various teams and departments within the company
- Handling invoices, expense reports, and other financial paperwork with careful attention to detail and accuracy at all times
- Answering phone calls and directing inquiries to the appropriate departments or personnel in a professional and courteous manner
- Assisting with recruitment activities including scheduling interviews, organizing candidate communications, and supporting the hiring process as needed
- Overseeing office supplies inventory and placing orders to maintain adequate stock levels and ensure uninterrupted daily operations
- Contributing to the development and improvement of administrative processes and workflows to increase overall office efficiency and productivity
- Supporting the implementation of office policies and ensuring compliance with organizational standards and guidelines across all departments
- Liaising with external vendors and service providers to coordinate office-related services and resolve any issues that arise
- Performing data entry tasks and updating databases to keep information current, accurate, and readily available for reference
- Monitoring and ordering office supplies, equipment, and amenities to ensure the workplace remains well-equipped and functional
- Assisting with the coordination of internal events, training sessions, and departmental meetings as requested by management
Requirements
- Proven experience working in an administrative or office support role in a professional and structured environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff
- Proficiency in standard office software and applications for daily task management, document creation, and data handling
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage competing deadlines, and maintain accuracy
- Attention to detail and consistent accuracy in all aspects of work including data handling and record keeping
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting at the Derby office location
- A positive and professional attitude with a genuine willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification; further education or certification in office administration is beneficial
- Experience with general bookkeeping, invoicing, and basic financial administration in an office or business setting
- Comfortable working with confidential information and adhering to data protection and privacy standards in the workplace
