What you'll do

• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.

• Conduct onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company and providing necessary training and resources.

• Analyze employee feedback and engagement survey results to identify trends and recommend actionable improvements.
• Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation between employees and management to maintain a harmonious workplace environment.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies, providing guidance to management and staff on HR best practices.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring confidentiality and data protection standards are upheld.
• Participate in recruitment efforts, including job postings, resume screening, and conducting interviews to attract top talent.
• Collaborate with the health and safety team to promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Prepare and present reports on HR metrics to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably within a similar industry or environment.
• Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Proven experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to analyze data and generate reports.

Nice to have

• A relevant HR qualification, such as CIPD or equivalent, is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in the water or utilities sector is a plus, providing insights into industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
