What you'll do

• Lead and manage a team of lining operatives, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to specification.
• Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management, to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and timelines.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that arise during the lining process, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Ensure that all equipment and materials are properly maintained and utilized, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
• Promote a safety-first culture within the team, conducting regular safety briefings and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the lining or construction industry, ideally with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of lining techniques, materials, and equipment used in infrastructure projects.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices within the construction industry.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using project management software and tools to track progress and manage resources.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
