Kickstarter is on the lookout for an experienced Senior Product Manager who will spearhead growth initiatives aimed at enhancing the backer experience on both web and mobile platforms, with a particular focus on mobile applications. This role is pivotal in driving user engagement and conversion, ensuring that Kickstarter continues to thrive as a leader in the crowdfunding space.

What you'll do
- Direct the product strategy and roadmap specifically for the growth of the mobile application, ensuring that user engagement and conversion rates are optimized.
- Formulate and validate hypotheses for growth through rigorous experimental frameworks and comprehensive data analysis.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to backer acquisition, engagement, and retention, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Effectively communicate product strategies, updates, and outcomes to a variety of stakeholders, including executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, and other departments to create impactful product experiences that resonate with users.
- Oversee the rollout of complex features, ensuring quality assurance and smooth releases across multiple platforms.
- Analyze user feedback and behavior to inform product decisions and prioritize enhancements that will drive growth.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in the marketplace.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product management, particularly in roles focused on growth.
- A proven history of successfully driving growth for consumer-oriented digital products, demonstrating measurable results.
- Experience in designing and implementing experiments to test and validate growth strategies effectively.
- Familiarity with mobile product development, including a deep understanding of app lifecycles and user experience.
- Knowledge of the dynamics of mobile and web platforms, with a focus on optimization techniques.
- Background in marketplace or e-commerce environments, with an emphasis on understanding user motivations and reducing friction in the user journey.
- Strong leadership abilities, capable of guiding cross-functional teams and influencing key stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
- Experience in navigating ambiguity and transforming research insights into actionable projects.
- Comfort in engaging in technical discussions and assessing product trade-offs.
- Comprehensive experience with the entire product development lifecycle, from validation to iterative releases.
- Proven ability to manage complex rollouts and coordinate efforts with teams such as Product Marketing and Customer Service.
- A strong sense of empathy for diverse user communities, ideally with experience in two-sided marketplaces.

- Experience in taking a mobile application from initial concept through to successful launch.
- Background in working with passionate user groups, such as creators or sellers, to foster community engagement.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools that support collaborative product development.
