About the role

You will own the end to end execution of state partnership programs in India, translating strategic goals into actionable implementation plans for large public school systems. You will act as the primary interface between Khan Academy and government stakeholders, ensuring alignment on objectives, timelines, and deliverables. You will leverage data to refine program strategy, iterate based on feedback, and drive continuous improvement in learning outcomes. You will coordinate across internal functions to maintain coherence in messaging, tools, and training resources. You will mentor and enable local teams to adopt and sustain Khan Academy practices long after program rollout. You will balance operational execution with strategic foresight to scale impact responsibly across diverse states.

What you'll do

• Partner with state leadership to design and execute rollout plans for the Khan Academy learning platform, using data-backed insights to guide decisions.

Requirements

• Bring 6-9 years of relevant work experience, demonstrating a track record of managing complex programs from conception to completion.
• Have prior experience as an educator or on large scale government projects, which is an added advantage.
• Function effectively as a solid project manager, defining scope, setting clear goals, and delivering high-quality outcomes within timelines.
• Act as a skilled people manager, coordinating with multiple teams simultaneously and facilitating alignment across functions.
• Communicate clearly and persuasively with state leadership, government partners, and internal stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, using both quantitative and qualitative data to inform decision making.

This role is embedded within the India Schools Team, which focuses on reaching underserved learners through localized content and strong government partnerships. You will contribute directly to expanding access to high-quality educational resources in Hindi, Hinglish, Kannada, Gujarati, Tamil, Marathi, and Punjabi. Your work will help achieve the ambitious goal of reaching over five million learners in three years, building on a base of 1.2 million learners and 8000+ schools from the previous year. You will operate in a data-informed, iterative culture that values feedback, evidence, and continuous learning.
