About the role
The owns the end-to-end administration and execution of sales compensation programs across the Spanish market, ensuring accuracy and fairness in every calculation. You will design and maintain the rules and logic that translate complex sales performance into clear, motivating payouts for our teams. This position requires you to manage the full lifecycle of incentive plans, from initial configuration and testing to ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement. You will act as the primary point of contact for all matters related to sales compensation, providing explanations and insights to sales leaders and representatives. Success in this role means partnering closely with finance to align incentives with budget targets and strategic business objectives. You will leverage data to identify trends, forecast costs, and recommend adjustments that optimize sales productivity and retention. This role demands a high level of ownership, where your diligence directly impacts the morale and performance of our commercial organization. You will be instrumental in fostering a culture of transparency and trust around how sales teams are rewarded for their results.

What you'll do
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in sales commission calculations, ensuring all payouts are accurate and align with established policies.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation for compensation plans, business rules, and configuration settings to support long-term maintainability.
Collaborate with finance partners to analyze the financial impact of proposed compensation changes and support scenario modeling for strategic decisions.
Configure and administer sales compensation structures within our systems, translating business requirements into technical specifications.
Perform regular audits of compensation data to verify integrity, identify anomalies, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Support the rollout of new compensation programs by coordinating testing, gathering user feedback, and facilitating training sessions for sales teams.
Analyze sales performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of incentive programs and propose data-driven refinements for improvement.
Serve as a subject matter expert on compensation policies, providing guidance and answering questions from sales representatives and management.
Coordinate with HR and IT departments to ensure seamless integration between compensation systems, payroll processes, and employee records.
Lead process improvements to streamline compensation administration, reduce manual effort, and enhance the overall user experience for stakeholders.
Monitor market trends and competitor practices to ensure our compensation programs remain competitive and aligned with industry standards.
Prepare reports and dashboards that provide clear visibility into compensation liabilities, payouts, and program performance for leadership review.
Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements for new compensation initiatives and ensure alignment with broader business goals.
Champion best practices in data governance and compliance to ensure all compensation activities adhere to legal and corporate standards.
Requirements
You must possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience.
You must have a proven track record of at least two years in a sales compensation or similar analytical role, demonstrating your ability to manage complex incentive structures.
You must be fluent in Spanish, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with local teams and stakeholders.
You must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and PivotTables for data analysis.
You must have experience with at least one enterprise-level HR or compensation management system, showing your ability to navigate and configure complex platforms.
You must demonstrate a solid understanding of sales processes and compensation planning principles, including plan design and performance analysis.
You must have excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
You must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, allowing you to interpret data, diagnose issues, and recommend actionable solutions.
Nice to have
Experience with Workday systems is a distinct advantage, particularly if you have handled compensation modules or related functionality.
Familiarity with additional European languages is beneficial for supporting our international operations and colleagues.
Experience in the automotive retail sector or with dealer management systems would enable you to integrate more quickly with our industry-specific processes.

This role is based in Spain and requires physical presence in the office.
Standard working hours apply, and travel is not expected as part of this position.
