What you'll do
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
- Utilize various measurement tools and techniques to assess product specifications and identify any deviations from quality benchmarks.
- Document inspection results meticulously, including detailed reports of non-conformities and corrective actions taken.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly and effectively, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participate in root cause analysis for quality failures, working closely with engineering and production teams to implement corrective measures.
- Develop and maintain quality control procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency in inspection processes.
- Train and mentor junior inspectors and production staff on quality standards and inspection techniques.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact quality standards and practices.
- Assist in the preparation for audits and inspections by regulatory bodies, ensuring all documentation and processes are in compliance.
- Contribute to the development of quality improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects and enhancing overall product reliability.
- Analyze data from inspections to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to management.
- Support the implementation of quality management systems and tools that align with company objectives and industry best practices.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and methodologies, including ISO standards and Six Sigma practices.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges for product inspections.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and specifications.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey quality issues and collaborate with team members.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with quality management software and data analysis tools is a plus.
Nice to have
- Certification as a Quality Inspector (CQI) or similar credential is preferred.
- Experience in a specific industry relevant to Jgmusa's product line, such as aerospace, automotive, or medical devices.
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and its application in manufacturing processes.
- Previous experience in training or mentoring junior staff in quality control practices.

- Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about quality issues.
