What you'll do

Conduct visual inspections of pharmacy and wellness products using human senses and non-specialized equipment.

Utilize sensory evaluation, including sight, smell, and touch, to identify defects or inconsistencies in products.

Perform regular quality assessments on all outgoing products to verify they meet established specifications.

Reject products that do not meet quality expectations and accurately document the reasons and details of rejection.

Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure strict adherence to compounding quality protocols and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with production teams to maintain best practices in product handling and preparation.

Maintain precise records of inspection results, capturing any discrepancies or defects discovered during checks.

Prepare and submit detailed reports summarizing quality assessments, observed trends, and recommendations for improvement.

Ensure products align with design and safety specifications before they are released for distribution.

Work closely with pharmacists and production staff to address quality concerns and enhance overall product quality.

Provide training to team members on quality control standards, emphasizing the importance of attention to detail.

Identify and resolve quality-related issues promptly by implementing appropriate corrective actions.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at preventing future quality issues and reducing defects.

Perform other related duties as required and assigned by supervisors to support operational needs.

Uphold company standards and regulatory expectations in every inspection and documentation task.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory for this position.

You must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, and Pharmacy Technician Trainees are welcome to apply.

Possess 1+ years of experience as a certified pharmacy technician or as a trainee in a pharmacy setting.

Have some experience using inspection tools and equipment, such as magnifying glasses and measuring devices, in a professional context.

Demonstrate strong observational skills with a focused emphasis on precision in every evaluation.

Show the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on inspection findings and trends.

Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues.

Be capable of working with pharmacy software, cloud-based communication tools, and mobile platforms effectively.

Maintain strong attention to detail, reliable time management, and a team-oriented attitude in all interactions.

Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills when collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
