What you'll do
- Safely transport, rig, and install machinery and equipment in various industrial settings, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to assess project requirements and develop effective rigging plans.
- Utilize a variety of rigging equipment, including slings, hoists, and cranes, to move heavy machinery and components.
- Conduct pre-lift inspections of rigging equipment to ensure safety and reliability before each operation.
- Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery as needed to facilitate the movement of equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all machinery movements, including weight, dimensions, and any special handling requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the rigging and moving process, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and environmental compliance.
- Participate in regular safety training and workshops to stay updated on best practices and industry standards.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of rigging equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in rigging, machinery moving, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Valid forklift operator certification and experience operating heavy machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety in all operations.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and supervisors.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
