Setting up your own recording space to match technical standards for video clarity and consistent audio quality.

Designing expressive facial and hand movements so students remain engaged throughout each scene and visual narrative.

Scanning scripts to identify tricky concepts and adjusting your explanation style for young audiences with varying attention spans.

Coordinating multiple takes to capture both on screen actions and spoken dialogue in one seamless flow without losing momentum.

Reviewing your recordings to confirm audio levels and visual framing meet production expectations and quality thresholds.

Preparing files with precise naming so editors can quickly integrate your segments into lessons without delay or confusion.

Communicating early if technical issues prevent you from meeting a submission deadline to protect the project timeline.

Approaching reshoots with patience, adjusting small details until the lesson feels completely natural and pedagogically sound.

Maintaining a consistent energy level and vocal tone to support different learning moments within a single video segment.

Demonstrating adaptability when scripts are revised, ensuring your performance aligns with the latest learning objectives and standards.

Building a reliable personal workflow that allows for efficient setup, performance, and file delivery on tight schedules.

Acting as a remote content partner, representing IXL Learning in the UK and Ireland educational video ecosystem.

Contributing to a library of reusable educational assets that teachers and students can rely on across multiple subjects and grade levels.

Requirements

You can reliably record high quality video of yourself using standard equipment and maintain technical consistency across sessions.

You present in an engaging way to learners aged five to seven, older children, and teenagers, adjusting complexity for each group.

You communicate clearly, structuring your explanations so students can easily follow each step without becoming overwhelmed or confused.

You reside in the United Kingdom or Ireland and are available to work remotely on a consulting basis for IXL Learning projects.

You have the ability to interpret scripts and perform natural on screen instruction without reliance on teleprompter technology.

You are comfortable performing both mathematics and English language topics with equal clarity and professionalism.

You understand the importance of pacing, allowing sufficient wait time for student processing and comprehension during each explanation.

You commit to meeting submission deadlines and upholding the production schedule once timelines and expectations are established.
