The hire will develop a deep understanding of IXL's offerings to effectively communicate value to prospective school districts and decision-makers. They will mentor and coach the sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous self-evaluation. This position requires selling not only IXL but also other brands within the IXL Learning family, including Rosetta Stone. The successful candidate will track and forecast sales pipelines while meeting consistent team targets. They will apply energy and creativity to overcome challenges and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. What you'll do
Provide leadership to a team of inside sales consultants to achieve goals that contribute to the growth of the organization.
Develop a keen understanding of IXL products to effectively align and pitch our value to prospective K-12 customers.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and coaching throughout the sales process with collaborative idea and strategy sharing.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and self-evaluation within the team.
Track, forecast, budget, and monitor the sales pipeline to ensure accurate reporting.
Meet team sales goals on a consistent basis through strategic planning and execution.
Sell IXL and other brands within the IXL Learning family, including Rosetta Stone, to expand revenue streams.
Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to build relationships with key stakeholders.
Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Apply aptitude for working under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
Leverage familiarity with web-based technologies to support digital selling efforts.
Channel passion for education technology to drive innovation and adoption in the classroom.
Requirements
BA/BS degree in an Education related or similar field.
3+ years of experience in sales, with a demonstrated track record of success.
Experience managing a team is required; experience in sales management is a plus.
Complete understanding of the K-12 education market and its unique dynamics.
Direct classroom experience is preferred to better relate to end-users.
Familiarity with web-based technologies and digital platforms is necessary.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly.
Demonstrated success at managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Aptitude for working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines without compromising quality.
Ability to apply energy and creativity to overcoming obstacles and achieving sales goals.

This is a full-time position based in the San Mateo, CA headquarters office.
Candidates must be available for in-person work at the specified location.
No remote or hybrid work arrangements are available for this role.
The base salary range is $90,000 to $100,000, with additional commission eligibility and comprehensive benefits.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the position.
Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Candidates must possess a BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
Direct classroom experience is preferred but not mandatory.
The position requires consistent availability during standard business hours as dictated by the San Mateo office schedule.
Travel is not required for this role as it is an internal headquarters position.
This role is eligible for commission-based earnings in addition to the base salary.
