In this role you will own the full sales cycle for IXL and Rosetta Stone K-12 platforms within the Sacramento market demonstrating how personalized learning solutions meet district needs. You will translate complex product roadmaps into clear value propositions for superintendents curriculum directors and teachers building trusted relationships that drive long term retention. Each day you will act as a strategic partner helping schools and districts navigate budget cycles and procurement processes while articulating the impact of data driven instruction. You will leverage your creativity to design ever evolving sales strategies that differentiate IXL Learning from competitors in a crowded EdTech landscape. Through consistent follow up and disciplined pipeline management you will convert opportunities into measurable growth for the business. You will represent the company with integrity and empathy ensuring every educator interaction leaves them energized and confident in their technology choices. Ultimately you will play a pivotal role in scaling adoption of IXL and Rosetta Stone across Northern California classrooms.

What you'll do
Develop a comprehensive understanding of K-12 district buying cycles and decision making units to tailor your outreach effectively.
Conduct discovery sessions with prospective customers to uncover instructional challenges and quantify the impact of existing learning gaps.
Design and execute targeted account plans that align IXL and Rosetta Stone solutions with specific curriculum goals and state standards.
Collaborate with internal teams to build compelling proposals presentations and ROI case studies that resonate with key stakeholders.
Utilize data from IXL Analytics to demonstrate student progress and drive conversations around instructional improvement and intervention strategies.
Establish a consistent cadence of virtual and in person touchpoints that nurture leads move deals forward and prevent pipeline stagnation.
Champion the integration capabilities of IXL and Rosetta Stone with existing LMS SIS and assessment platforms to reduce implementation friction.
Proactively gather qualitative feedback from educators administrators and students to inform product enhancements and messaging.
Represent IXL Learning at regional and national educational technology conferences hosting interactive sessions and live product demos.
Travel extensively throughout the Sacramento region and surrounding areas maintaining a flexible schedule that includes occasional overnight stays.
Qualify and prioritize opportunities based on district readiness budget cycles and strategic fit to optimize sales productivity.
Maintain meticulous records in CRM ensuring accurate forecasting and enabling timely follow up on every stakeholder interaction.
Partner with Customer Success to identify expansion opportunities renewals and advocacy programs that increase lifetime value.
Adapt your communication style to resonate across diverse audiences from tech savvy teachers to executive level decision makers.
Own your book of business end to end balancing proactive outreach account development and pipeline maintenance.
Requirements
Hold a Bachelor's degree in any discipline and be prepared to discuss how your academic background informs your sales approach.
Bring a minimum of three years of educational sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota in previous roles.
Demonstrate prior classroom experience or engagement in a related educational field that informs your understanding of educator priorities.
Show comfort using Web based technologies and SaaS platforms to manage your sales process and interact with customer systems.

Practical notes
This position requires the ability to travel 75-80% with periodic overnights as required across the Sacramento metro area and beyond. You must be based in Northern California and available to work full time in a remote capacity with defined regional coverage expectations.
