About the role
IXL Learning is actively seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Account Executive to join our Rosetta Stone team. This position is primarily focused on expanding our presence and business in Greater China and the broader Emerging Asia Pacific markets. As an integral part of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing the entire sales process, from prospecting potential clients to closing deals and supporting ongoing customer growth. The role requires a proactive approach to market development, building strong relationships with clients, and working closely with internal teams to ensure customer success. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education technology, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in B2B sales within SaaS or EdTech sectors. This is an on-site role based in Beijing, China, and involves significant travel across the Asia Pacific region to meet clients, attend industry events, and support customer onboarding and expansion initiatives.

What you'll do
- Generate new business opportunities within Greater China and the Emerging Asia Pacific markets by identifying potential clients and developing tailored outreach strategies.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact, qualification, needs assessment, proposal presentation, negotiation, to closing deals.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and challenges to provide consultative, value-driven solutions that meet their language learning and training objectives.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive outbound activities such as cold calling, email campaigns, networking, and leveraging account-based selling techniques.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators, contributing directly to the growth of Rosetta Stone's market share in the region.
- Identify new market segments and opportunities for growth, providing feedback and insights to the marketing and product teams to refine go-to-market strategies.
- Represent Rosetta Stone at various industry events, including education technology, HR, and Learning & Development conferences, to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
- Collaborate closely with the Customer Success team to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new clients, facilitating product deployment and adoption.
- Support client onboarding activities by coordinating with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of solutions and addressing any technical or operational issues.
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status within CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging customer needs to position Rosetta Stone's offerings effectively and identify new opportunities.
- Provide feedback from clients and prospects to internal teams to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Assist in developing sales collateral, presentations, and proposals tailored to regional markets and customer segments.
- Participate in regular sales meetings, training sessions, and regional planning activities to stay aligned with company goals and initiatives.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity in all client interactions, fostering long-term relationships based on trust and value.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher education qualification.
- Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 3 to 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in SaaS, EdTech, or enterprise software solutions.
- Proven success in selling software, SaaS, or learning solutions through a consultative, solution-oriented approach.
- Experience selling to enterprise education institutions, corporate HR departments, Learning & Development teams, or Talent Management functions.
- Demonstrated ability to generate new business through outbound prospecting, including cold calling, email outreach, and account-based strategies.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively and present compelling value propositions.
- Self-motivated, accountable, and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management capabilities to prioritize activities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, CRM systems (preferably Salesforce), and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time across the Asia Pacific region to meet clients, attend events, and support onboarding.
- Ability to adapt to different cultural contexts and communicate effectively across diverse markets.
- Knowledge of the education technology landscape and familiarity with language learning solutions is a plus.

- Multilingual abilities, especially in languages spoken within the Asia Pacific region, are advantageous.
