What you'll do

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to identify testing needs and establish quality benchmarks.
• Perform manual and automated testing to ensure software functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools, ensuring that all issues are resolved before product release.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on design and implementation to enhance product quality.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features do not adversely affect existing functionality.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement and potential risks.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in quality assurance and testing methodologies.
• Mentor junior QA team members and assist in their professional development.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and tools within the organization.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring rapid and reliable software delivery.
• Assist in the development of automated testing frameworks and tools to enhance testing efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in writing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Trello is a plus.

Nice to have

• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is advantageous.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of security testing practices and tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience in mobile application testing is a plus.
