About the role
Iq Eq is seeking a Group Director of Platforms & Transformation to lead the strategic direction of technology platforms across the organization. This senior leadership role is based in London and reports to the executive team, driving how the company designs, delivers, and maintains its core technology infrastructure. The role holder will shape the roadmap for platform modernization, ensuring that systems supporting fund administration and governance services remain scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives. As a key member of the leadership team, this individual will influence how Iq Eq uses technology to serve clients in the asset management and financial services sectors. The Group Director will work closely with the CIO and other technology leaders to define the long-term vision for Iq Eq's platform ecosystem, spanning internal operational tools, client-facing applications, and data management systems. This position carries significant accountability for the reliability, performance, and evolution of the technology stack that underpins Iq Eq's global operations and client delivery model. The Group Director of Platforms & Transformation will also play a critical role in shaping Iq Eq's technology vision for the next five years and beyond, ensuring that the company's platform capabilities continue to meet the evolving needs of asset managers, institutional investors, and fund administrators worldwide.

What you'll do
Define and execute the global platform strategy that supports Iq Eq's fund administration and governance services.
Partner with senior stakeholders to translate business goals into technology roadmaps and platform investment decisions.
Oversee the architecture and evolution of core technology platforms used across Iq Eq's operating regions.
Lead cross-functional teams in delivering platform enhancements, integrations, and modernization initiatives on schedule.
Manage vendor relationships and evaluate third-party technology solutions that strengthen the company's platform capabilities.
Drive digital transformation programs that improve operational efficiency and client-facing service delivery across the group.
Establish governance frameworks and standards for platform development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance practices.
Monitor platform performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve reliability, scalability, and security posture.
Collaborate with the CIO and technology leadership to align platform investments with long-term business strategy.
Champion a culture of innovation within the technology organization, encouraging experimentation and continuous improvement.
Ensure that all platform initiatives comply with internal risk management policies and external regulatory obligations.
Requirements
A minimum of ten years of experience in technology leadership roles within financial services or fund administration.
Proven track record of managing large-scale platform programs and leading multidisciplinary technology teams effectively.
Deep understanding of fund administration workflows, governance structures, and the regulatory landscape in financial services.
Strong background in enterprise architecture, cloud-native platforms, and modern software delivery practices and methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic technology decisions across a global organization.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related quantitative discipline is required.
Extensive experience with platform governance, vendor management, and the evaluation of technology partnerships and solutions.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences clearly.
Nice to have
MBA or equivalent advanced degree in business administration, technology management, or a related field.
Prior experience working within the asset management, fund administration, or financial technology sector specifically.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as AIFMD, UCITS, and other European financial services regulations.
Experience with agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices in a large enterprise environment.

Enterprise platform architecture and design patterns for scalable, multi-tenant technology environments.
Cloud infrastructure platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and related services.

Data management tools, ETL processes, and analytics platforms used in financial services.
Governance frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, or TOGAF for technology oversight and compliance.

This role is based in Iq Eq's London office and requires regular in-person attendance during business hours.
The position reports into the group executive leadership team and involves collaboration across multiple business units.
