About the role
Iq Eq is seeking a Global Infrastructure Lead Engineer focused on Networks to join their growing team in Hyderabad. This role leads the design, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of network infrastructure that supports the company's worldwide operations and client services. What you'll do
Lead the planning, architecture, and execution of network infrastructure projects spanning global offices and data center facilities.
Oversee the configuration, tuning, and optimization of routing, switching, and firewall platforms across enterprise environments.
Coordinate with regional engineering teams to ensure network designs align with organizational standards and evolving business requirements.
Monitor network health and performance metrics, leading incident response efforts to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation covering network topologies, device configurations, standard operating procedures, and change records.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, conducting technical reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions to uphold best practices.
Evaluate emerging networking technologies and vendor solutions, then present well-reasoned recommendations to senior leadership for approval.
Partner with information security teams to implement network segmentation, access control policies, and threat mitigation measures.
Manage relationships with external vendors and oversee the procurement, deployment, and lifecycle management of network equipment.
Drive continuous improvement programs aimed at enhancing network reliability, throughput, latency, and overall service resilience.
Participate in capacity planning exercises to forecast bandwidth and infrastructure needs as the business scales.
Troubleshoot complex network issues using systematic diagnostic approaches and coordinate resolution across distributed support teams.
Requirements
Substantial hands-on experience in network engineering with a demonstrated track record in enterprise or global-scale environments.
Deep working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, DNS, DHCP, VPN technologies, and load balancing mechanisms.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing engineering teams across multiple locations.
Practical experience with network monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis tools in production settings.
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a regular basis to support distributed office locations.
Strong analytical thinking and the composure to make sound technical decisions under tight deadlines.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with both technical peers and non-technical business stakeholders.
Experience managing network changes in a controlled, auditable, and risk-aware manner.
Familiarity with IT service management frameworks and change advisory board processes.
Nice to have
Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent vendor-neutral networking credentials are highly valued.
Prior professional experience within a fund administration, asset servicing, or financial services organization is a plus.
Demonstrated familiarity with cloud networking solutions and hybrid infrastructure architectures combining on-premises and cloud resources.
Hands-on experience with automation and scripting languages used to streamline network provisioning and configuration tasks.
Background in managing service level agreements, uptime guarantees, and disaster recovery planning for critical network systems.
Exposure to software-defined networking concepts and programmable network infrastructure in a production environment.
