Designing scalable structures that support analytics while meeting strict quality standards. Optimizing existing pipelines to handle growth without sacrificing stability or performance. Coordinating closely with developers and analysts to deliver features that unblock critical initiatives. Implementing production-ready models that balance accuracy, latency, and maintainability for stakeholders. Guiding best practices so that data remains consistent, documented, and auditable across teams. Championing platform resilience through monitoring, testing, and iterative improvements over time. Facilitating knowledge transfer so teams can operate data products independently and confidently. Requirements You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 3-5 years of software engineering experience, including strong hands-on expertise in data engineering and analytics within complex environments (financial services preferred). You are fluent in Linux and Bash, comfortable with Python, Go, Scala, C++, or Kotlin, skilled with advanced Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, and Dask, and grounded in algorithms and data structures. You have hands-on experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with data lakes and warehouses such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, with stream processing such as Kafka and Kinesis, and with implementing data warehousing and API solutions. You adapt communication to diverse audiences, decide quickly with an action orientation, collaborate across cultures and geographies, and demonstrate sharp analytical problem solving with meticulous attention to detail. You thrive in fast-paced global organizations, lead and mentor teams, operate with integrity, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and understand ISO 27001 information security compliance; English fluency is required, with European languages viewed as an asset. About us We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer to join our global team in an Engineering Manager role, playing a key part in delivering our Group Data Strategy and Data Transformation journey. This hands-on technical position focuses on designing, building, optimizing, and maintaining our IQEQ Data Platform, ensuring scalable and reliable data solutions that drive business value, innovation, and growth. Working closely with software developers, data analysts, data scientists, and architects, you will lead the development of robust data pipelines and production-ready data models, enabling high-quality data delivery across multiple teams, systems, and products while championing best practices in data engineering and platform excellence. You will operate as a deeply technical, hands-on Engineering Manager, directly building, expanding, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex, production-ready data pipeline architectures. You will apply extensive, current data engineering expertise to construct, refine, and manage large-scale data infrastructures, demonstrating a proven ability to work directly with complex data assets. You will actively support software developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists by implementing data initiatives end-to-end, ensuring consistent and optimal data delivery across projects. You will work autonomously across multiple teams, systems, and products, ensuring scalable, reliable data architectures while confidently balancing hands-on delivery with cross-team technical leadership.
