What you'll do
- Oversee the daily management and administration of SharePoint sites, ensuring content is organized, up-to-date, and accessible to users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze content requirements, translating them into effective SharePoint solutions.
- Develop and implement content strategies that enhance user engagement and improve the overall functionality of SharePoint sites.
- Monitor site performance and user feedback, making necessary adjustments to improve usability and content relevance.
- Create and maintain documentation related to SharePoint site management, including user guides and best practices for content creation.
- Train and support team members on SharePoint functionalities, empowering them to effectively contribute to content management.
- Conduct regular audits of SharePoint content to ensure compliance with organizational standards and policies.
- Stay updated on the latest SharePoint features and best practices, recommending enhancements to improve site capabilities.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment on content goals and site objectives.
- Manage permissions and access controls within SharePoint, ensuring that sensitive information is protected while maintaining user access to necessary resources.
- Assist in the development of workflows and automated processes to streamline content management tasks.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to strategic planning related to SharePoint initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Communications, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience managing SharePoint sites or similar content management systems.
- Strong understanding of SharePoint features, functionalities, and best practices.
- Proven experience in content strategy development and implementation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess user needs and translate them into actionable content solutions.
- Experience with user training and support in a digital environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite and other collaboration tools.
- Experience with web design principles and user experience (UX) best practices.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, or other web development languages.
- Previous experience in a project management role or with project management tools.
- Certification in SharePoint or related content management systems.
Skills & tools
- Proficiency in SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and other collaboration platforms.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with analytics tools to measure site performance and user engagement.
- Knowledge of content management best practices and digital marketing principles.
